Tonights Prediction

Memphis and Kansas looked great on Saturday night. I had UCLA and UNC winning, and i couldn't have been more wrong. These are the 2 teams that are playing the best through out the tourney and they deserve to be here over any other teams. Here is my prediction:

Kansas 74

Memphis 78

Memphis Wins the title in a great game. They are truely on top of their game right now.

My MLB Predictions

Here are my 2008 MLB predictions:

AL East: Red Sox

AL Central: Detroit

AL West: Angels

AL Wild Card: Yankees

There are probably 4 or 5 teams that could be in running late in the season for the wold card, Yankees, Indians, Seattle, Minnesota, and Toronto, That many teams should make the playoff run a little more interesting this season in the AL.

NL East: NY Mets

NL Central; Brewers

NL West: Dodgers

NL Wild Card: Phillies

Again, the wild card race in teh NL should be really good this season too. it will probably come down to Atlanta, Chicago, and San Diego. The divisional race between the Brewers and the Cubs should be close and the NL East will be the strongest division.

The AL Champ: Angels over Yankees in 6

The NL Champ: Mets over Phillies in 6

World Series Champ: Mets over Angels in 7

My Elite 8

Here is my Elite 8:

UNC, Tenn, Kansas, Davidson, Memphis, Stanford, UCLA, and West Virginia

It was nice to see Fri, Sat and Sun make up for a very boring Monday in this years tourney. Also, i think that UNC is just too good for the rest of these teams and as long as they are still alive they will be my pick to win it all. Not really much of a risk taker is guess.

KSU v. USC

What a game this should be!! OJ Mayo v. Michael Beasely!! Not a bad 1st round game if i do say so myself.

But at the same time i wish they didnt play each other in the 1st round. Players like these two guys are so good that if they were to get hot a the right time (now) they could carry their teams by themselves. That would also be fun to watch. It is too bad that one of them is going to have to gome home later this week.

I know i will be watching.

Tyler Hansborough

I first want to start off by saying that i am a Tar Heel fan, so call me biased if you will.

Tyler Hasborough is exactly what makes CBB better than the NBA, if you ask me. He literaly lays every play as if it was his last and the game was going to be decided at that very moment. He single handedly made 4 plays in the last few minutes against VT that w/o could have cost UNC the game. Then when the drawn up play doesnt pan out...he is in the right place at the right time and makes the shot!!

I personally hope that he comes back to UNC for his senior season, he is just to much fun to watch at the college level, but if he does go pro, there is no incidation that he wont play the same way at the next level. He will probably come off the bech his rookie year but what NBA coach wouldnt want that kind of spark to be coming of your bench.

He makes an already good Tar Heel team great. Because of his contirbutions and intensity on the court, that is why i am going to be riding the Heels all the way to the NCAA championship game in by bracket. (The probable #1 seed in the East and not having to leave NC unitl the Final 4 doesnt hurt either).

Go Heels and Good luck Tyler!

Exactly what we were looking for....

I think that last nights game between Memphis and Tennessee was excatly what we were looking for in a #1-#2 matchup.

It was close and exciting from the outset and the better and more consistent team won.

Bruce Pearl is a coach that should be praised nationally for the way he motovates his players and supports the scheeol as a whole. I mean...the man showed up w/o a shirt at a womens game last season.

I think that TENN is a legitimate #1 team, and Memphis still belongs near the top, even with the weaker conference schedule. Both teams will go deep in the tourney and i would love to see a rematch with it all on the line.

Good show last night by both teams......
